A nice little selection of high street shops throughout the UK, they are pretty good and a now quite well established and well known firm with a solid reputation, who aren't going to be out of business come january next year. Staff are friendly and polite, as well as professional and helpful. I don't know quite why they put fred after the name, but a good and reliable bookie you can trust, as long as you don't expect payment on losing selections of course (unless it's your first time, in which case your losing or winning bet will make you a free bet to the value of the stake up to £50).

UK based, popular little high street bookie, with plenty of nice warm high street branches serving refreshments at reasonable prices to welcome you in there in the hope you'll waste some money in there of course, but keep the stakes small and it's a good afternoon's entertainment and you may well end up winning which makes it all a bonus. Odds are OK, if you have an online account and need cash in a hurry you can nip down the branch and get it out which is a good thing of course. Staff friendly and helpful and only ever a phone call or better still a walk to the counter away.

Relatively new to opening high street branches, compared to ladbrokes, will hill and coral, but nowadays rank alongside them and pay odds that are about the same. They offer a very generous deposit bonus to the new punter of 60 pounds, which is a pretty worthwhile amount. Best payout times anywhere, if you don't want to mess about online, just walk into any high street branch and they'll give you your winnings as long as you take some photo id with you of course.

A good, well established firm of UK bookies with high street shops dotted around the country. Their shops are clean and professional looking, well maintained and not littered with betting slips and old fag buts like I've seen in some branches of coral's and ladbrokes. Nice tea and coffee if you put on 70 pence bet or less even. Brilliant website too, easy to navigate and use, no problems encountered, staff easily contactable by freephone number, could do with a chat module, but pretty good all in all.

Well established family run bookie with plenty of high street branches. Competitive odds, good welcome bonus, deposits by credit card or over the shop counter, if you want a welcome bonus when you join, use moneybookers and they'll just say sorry we can't give you the bonus, other than that they are a good bookie to deal with and have very good customer service.

A good and professional service, odds are competitive, payouts quick. You can do it online or if you live in the right bit of the world, they've got high street shops, which i've seen on my travels, they are clean, well maintained shops that pay instantly over the counter with free tea and coffee. Good wide range of markets to bet on from sports to casino.

Pity they won't accept moneybookers for claiming of deposit bonuses, the way round this is to deposit at your local branch and then claim the bonus. But good and polite customer service, easy to use site, competitive odds, not as good as betfair or exchanges, but still pretty good. Long established bookie with lots of high street branches. Good tea and coffee on a cold miserable day, here, often free to punters only putting on a 50 pence bet or something so looks like this you're paying for your tea and coffee by betting and if you win it's a huge bonus and profit on top of the cost of your tea and coffee and afternoons chatting with other punter and keeping out from the cold (well that's the philosophy of a local tramp I know, not mine personally) but can see his thinking makes sense really. For the brilliant site they get a four, don't be tempted to register with dodgy details to get free bets though, because you'll never be able to cash your winnings as you'll have to show valid id at the branch counter to get your winnings.

I would give them a five but they don't accept moneybookers if you want to participate in their welcome bonus, which is such a shame otherwise they'd be fine. So only 3 I'm afraid and they may well suspend your account within 2 minutes of opening, which can be annoying, but quick enough to reopen when they've seen your id.
