5 tips to not lose your bankroll

5 TIPS TO NOT LOSE YOUR BANKROLL

As we've stated, online betting has many advantages and can bring a lot of satisfaction by using unique features and options; however, because we live in the era of technology and we are connected to the internet everywhere we go (desktop pc at home, notebook at work, smartphone/tablet on the go etc.), we can be tempted to place online bets all the time. Unfortunately, sometimes this is not exactly the greatest idea because losing your bankroll can happen very easily.

Here are 5 tips which will help you not to lose your bankroll:

1. Never place a bet using a big amount from your total bankroll. You may place 5%, 10%, 12%, depending on the betting strategy you use, but never place big amounts - such as 50%, 80% or 100%. This is one of the most common mistakes among the new bettors.

2. Analyze an event before placing a bet. Mainly because online bookmakers nowadays, like Bet365, Marathonbet, Unibet, BetVictor, Ladbrokes, have a wide range of pre-match, in-play betting events and betting markets, you can be tempted to place bets on events that you don't know anything about. Some bettors find themselves betting on darts or speedway even if they don't even know the participants/the basic rules of those sports.

3. There is no safe event. At some point you'll encounter an event which will seem to be 100% safe. You'll analyze it, check the odds, the teams, the past results and you'll say: "I'll win for sure!". You need to prepare for that/those moments and properly manage your bets, because even if you don't bet big amounts from your bankroll you can still lose money pretty quickly if you don't realize that every single bet can have a bad outcome. To be more specific: in some betting strategies you need to place one bet at a time (you wait for a bet to settle and then you place another) - in this case, bettors assume that a specific bet will be a winner "for sure" and they continue placing bets without waiting for the bet to be settled first. If the bet doesn't result to be a winner, the whole progress can be completely destroyed and funds lots.

4. Don't place bets when you're guided by emotions. Maybe you're very happy, very sad, very angry - in any of these cases it's a bad idea to place bets because these high emotions can influence your capability of making the correct decisions. That's why many bettors tend to lose all of their bankroll after they win big or lose a big bet.

5. Placing bets should not take all of your time. For some people betting is a hobby, for others it is a full-time job, but in any of these cases you need to control the time you spend in front of your computer. There are cases of bettors who sit all day long a lot placing all kinds of unnecessary bets, without any kind of strategy or analysis.

Hopefully, these 5 tips will help you manage your online betting activity better and increase your winnings.
