BETTING ON FUTSAL
The sport called futsal is a variant of football which is played indoors instead of outdoors. The origin of this sport dates back to 1930s in Brazil and Uruguay, when there was a lack of outdoor football fields and people decided to play it indoors. The term futsal is a combination of the Portuguese "futebol de salao" - which means "football played in hall". Nowadays we may think that futsal is not played so much anymore, considering that football has evolved rapidly and many fields have been built all over the world, but it seems futsal has also experienced a spectacular growth and now there are great national and international competitions watched by people worldwide. The betting industry (including online betting) has adopted this sport and added all major futsal events into their betting offer.
Futsal is widely spread all over the world through a wide range of competitions and championships. There are international competitions (FIFA), Asian competitions (AFC - in all major Asian countries, such as China, India, Iran, Japan etc.), African competitions (CAF), CONCACAF competitions (North American, Central American and Caribbean competitions), CONMEBOL (South American competitions), OFC (Oceanian competitios), UEFA (European competitions), AMF (Intercontinental competitions), UEFS, CPFS (Pan-American competitions) and CSFS (South American competitions). As you can see, futsal can compete with any major sport in terms of popularity and championships.
This sport may not attract as many spectators as football does, but it's spectacular and online bookmakers have included it in their betting offer. You can easily bet on all major futsal competitions: Bet365, William Hill, Unibet, BetVictor, Ladbrokes, 888 Sport, Betclic are some of the online bookmakers which provide events from this sport. Unfortunately, live video transmissions or live betting events are very rare, so in most of the cases you can only use pre-match betting on futsal.
Even if futsal is basically football but played indoors, you won't find so many betting markets available for it. Probably on the major events you can choose from up to 20 betting markets, but most online bookmakers deliver only "match betting" markets. Here are most of the betting markets which you can find for futsal:
o Match betting market (full time result) - predict who will win the match;
o Handicap betting (including alternative handicaps);
o Total goals;
o Winning margin;
o Correct score;
o Double chance;
