Betting on Goals scored

BETTING ON GOALS SCORED

Online betting clearly brings a new way of entertainment for many people, especially for those who love watching or playing sports. There is no denying to say that football is by far the most loved and also the sport with the highest popularity and influence in the online betting industry. Tens and hundreds of markets, special betting options or promotions were created especially for this sport, and from all - the goals betting market has managed to attract a huge variety of fans in placing bets.

It is obvious that the most emotional part of a match is represented by the goals scored. A football match is all about goals and betting on goals with a good strategy can bring higher profits than betting on any other markets.

First of all, when it comes to betting on goals, a bettor immediately ceases to care about the outcome of the match he bets on. The outcome doesn't matter anymore, it isn't relevant, and any team could score so that the over/under be reached. This is a really good advantage because it basically reduces the risks - compared to other betting markets.

There are available many types of goals markets, but some of the most popular ones are: total goals (per match), exact total goals, number of goals in a match, teams to score, both teams to score, first half goals, exact first half goals, first team to score, early goal (time when it's scored, before or after a specific minute), late goal, second half goals, exact second half goals, half with most goals, team total goals, goals odds/even, last team to score. From all these markets, betting on total goals/match has the lowest risks and it's also the most used betting market on football.

Why bet on total goals:

- Betting on classic markets, such as under/over 0.5, 1.5, 2.5, 3.5 or alternative total goals (4.5, 5.5, 6.5 etc.) has exactly two possible outcomes: under and over. If you bet on the first team to score, you would have three possible outcomes: team 1, team 2 or no team.

- The outcome of the match is irrelevant, along with the team who will score the goals. For example: a bettor with a bet placed on over 2.5 goals/match would have the bet marked as won as long the match finishes with at last 3 goals scored (3 goals scored by team 1, 3 goals scored by team 2 or 3 goals scored by both teams).

- Odds on under/over total goals usually bring the highest profit because it's easier to avoid mistakes. For example: let's say that a team is very offensive, scores every match, has an overall good gameplay, but it's not strong enough to defeat a specific team. More exactly, the chances are higher to win if you bet on this team to score at least a goal in a match against a strong team, rather than placing a bet on this team to win the match.

The goals markets represent a great choice for any type of bettor, but the leagues and game selection also have an important role for you to be successful as a bettor. By analyzing the goals history of a team (or h2h match) you can easily decide if a team is offensive and if it has chances to score/note.

In the end, as you can see, betting on goals represents one of the greatest ways to reduce the risks in betting and also to increase the profit.
