Fees charged by online bookmakers

FEES CHARGED BY ONLINE BOOKMAKERS

One of the most important things to keep in mind when choosing an online bookmaker is represented by the fees/commissions they charge for deposits, withdrawals, transfers between sections or bets. These can influence your overall bankroll, especially if you are used to depositing and playing big amounts of money. Generally, most online bookmakers don't charge any fees, but there are some exceptions that we'll try to present.

Bet365, the most popular online bookmaker, doesn't charge any fees for deposits/withdrawals, except for two cases: if you deposit less than 300GBP via Fast Bank Transfer, they will charge an extra fee, if you withdraw more than once (in 28 days) via Wire Transfer and Fast Bank Transfer, they will charge an extra fee. As you can see, if you ignore the Wire and Fast Bank Transfer options, Bet365 will still represent a great option.

Unfortunately, Unibet has some big fees which are applied when you deposit. Therefore, if you want to fund your Unibet account, you must know that you will be charged a 2.5% fee for Credit/Debit card deposits and 3% free for paysafecard deposits. E.g. for a 1,000 EUR deposit, you will have to pay 25 EUR fee. Fortunately, there are no fees for deposits via Bank Transfer, Moneybookers/Skrill, Neteller or withdrawals.

If you are looking for an online bookmaker who doesn't charge any fees for deposits and withdrawals (including bank transfers), then Paddy Power, Vbet and Marathonbet are probably the best options. You can deposit and withdraw as many times as you want without paying any commission.

Betfair will charge you with 2.5% if you deposit via paysafecard, 1.5% if you deposit via EcoCard and 1.5% for most of the debit and credit cards. If you have a UK debit card or Irish Laser card then you won't pay the 1.5% fee. Also, as a betting exchange site - Betfair charges additional fees when placing bets, but these fees can be different depending on the account, number of bets placed or country. For example, Betfair generally charges a 5% fee for each bet, but if you are from Romania, you will be charged with 6.5%.

10Bet is an online bookmaker who encourages all customers to deposit by not charging any fees, but when it comes to withdrawals - 10Bet has fees for most payment methods: e.g. 1 EUR fee for Skrill/Moneybookers and for Neteller etc.

Betclic charges a 2% commission for all credit/debit card deposits lower than 100 EUR. Except for this, Betclic doesn't charge any other fee or commission when you deposit.

Overall, there are some online bookmakers that can charge deposit/withdrawal fees for some specific payment methods, but these won't bother you too much if you don't plan to deposit very big amounts. For bigger deposits there are many online bookmakers with no fees to choose from.
